Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator to join our team.
As a Driller, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and machinery to horizontally bore utilities. This is a physically demanding role that requires mechanical knowledge and experience in operating equipment such as directional bore machines, excavators, dump/utility trucks, and loaders. A valid, clean driver's license is required.Duties:- Operate and maneuver heavy equipment, including directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers, loaders, and other machinery- Work around utility locates to provide safe digging/drilling- Perform drilling operations to dig holes and trenches for construction projects- Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate drilling and excavation- Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and procedures- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performanceExperience:- Preferably at least 2-3 years' experience or education/training equivalent in operating directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation- Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditionsNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
